Recruitment

Recruitment Characteristics

Mentality

Uno Mas is a MATURE environment.  The atmosphere is established by your commitment and participation in the family.  Much like the typical worker in a fire hall, cop station, or even a military battalion; your reputation shares a linear relationship with your attitude, performance, professionalism, and your attendance to group activities.  Due to the competitive nature of our work, we limit recruitment to adults 21+.  Upon a mandatory verbal interview, the recruitment officer will accurately scale your age to your responses.

Attitude

To extend on the topic of Mentality, a good guildie recognizes acceptable and non acceptable behavior.

  • Raiding and PvP can be stressful at times.  While competition is encouraged, a positive attitude must be kept.  In a rated PvP match, we play till the clock strikes zero and address issues and/or complications AFTER the game ends.  In raiding enviroments there are ups and downs, progression being a prime example of this.  Regardless of a few unsuccessful encounters, emotions must be put aside for the betterment of the team reaching higher content.
  • We are not a child friendly guild, and as a result playful and some what plain crude humor and jokes may occur. There is a line. Extreme acts of inappropriate sociable interruptions will be addressed.
  • Recognition of authority is an expectation.  Unappreciated disrespect of an officer will likely lead to grounds of removal.

Performance

Uno Mas is designed to house the needs of a high caliber player with a small time frame of commitment.  In short, we don't have the time nor interest to invest in gamers that don't have their basic homework completed.  An excellent understanding of the fundamentals of your class and attending specialization is an expectation.  A basic understanding of how other classes and specs compliment or harm yours is something that we will require of you. If you cannot hold your own, then we are not the correct guild for you.

In all the years of this game's existence, if you do not understand that fire is more often than not "bad to stand in"...  You may be beyond saving!

Professionalism

Similar to the expectations of the work force and the big scary world of being a grown-up, we expect you to fully commit to what you sign up for.  A fully committed player shows up on time(in most cases early) with all their ducks in line (gems, chants, flasks, basic knowledge of encounter's mechanics, warmed up, etc) and able to commit for the specified time supplied by the group organizer with little to no interuptions.  Life happens, and sometimes tardiness overhauls your best intentions to be on time.  A professional makes an attempt to notify the group organizer with as much notice as possible should any predicaments befall your ability to attend.

Attendance

As stated in the preformance and professionalism category, attendance is a big deal in Uno Mas.  Gathering a handful of player's time schedule and finding a way to work around everybody's real life stuff so gaming is possible is easier said than done.  With time being a valuable commodity, there is ZERO tolerance for "no shows".  Life throws us curve balls and stuff happens, however there are excusable and inexcusable situations.  Should you find yourself in this situation, make an effort to contact the organizer (they will supply their ideal methods of contact).  This category has different ground rules for different organizers.  Contact your respective group leader for more information of their attendance policies.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are some of the basic expectations of Uno Mas.  For any additional inquiries and/or information you require, please contact the group organizer, a forum moderator or an officer of the guild.
